Luz has a chef! Montezuma has many great restaurants, yet eating out every night can be very expensive. Luz has been offering family dinners for the past couple of weeks and they have been a great success. Once a day I am asked, “Where can I find good, cheap food?” Until now my answer has been… “well…. Umm…” Point being, dinner at Luz is a great way to get to know other guests, enjoy a nothing short of gourmet meal, and not spend a fortune. Come join us for our next delicious dinner, where asking for seconds is a complement to the Chef! If you want to know what’s on the menu tonight check our facebook page.

Thank you chef Juan Louis!

We are very happy to announce that our new private cabinas are finally rounding the corner! They have turned out even nicer than we expected. We will be taking reservations starting the 12th of January. The private cabinas will offer not only a private stay here at Luz but an experience that you will never forget. This is something truly special. The cabinas provide an opportunity to mix with the hostel vibes but retreat to a private getaway.

“I have been staying in the jungle view cabina for the past week. I can not even start to describe the ambiance. Yesterday I woke up to a howler monkey no more than five feet from the edge of the cabina! Canela and I enjoyed watching him peacefully sleep. The rest of the monkey crew later joined him and then took off towards the beach for the day. I have lived in Montezuma for two years and I have never had such a close experience with a howler monkey. Love this place. Truly magical!!” –Windi
